Light Emitting Diode (LED) TVs manufactured by Hisense Electric (600060) have been included in the latest round of bidding of the “home appliances to the countryside” program on February 4, reports China Securities Journal.

According to the report, this will promote the growth of the LED TV market in third and fourth-tier cities.

Hisense Electric has 112 types of TVs included in the program since 2007, outstripping other TV makers.

The company has a 22.25 percent market share of the “home appliances to the countryside” program, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce last November.

In the market for LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs, Hisense has been ranked first in the domestic market for seven straight years.
