Air China To Purchase 15 Boeing Aircraft For $3.2B

September 1 -- The board of directors has given approval to Air China (601111, 0753.HK) and to its wholly owned subsidiary, Air China Import and Export, for an agreement with Boeing to purchase 15 Boeing 787-9 aircraft, reports Securities Times, according to a company announcement.

The price of the aircrafts is approximately $3.19 billion, however the actual purchase price may be adjusted, according to the announcement.

Air China said that the purchase agreement for 15 Boeing 787-9 aircraft overrides the previous purchase agreement for 15 Boeing 787-8 aircraft back in 2005

The 15 Boeing 787-9's will be delivered from 2015 through 2018.
