Feb. CPI Up 2.7%, PPI Up 5.4%

The consumer price index (CPI) in February rose 2.7 percent year-on-year and 1.2 percent month-on-month,  reports Chinanews.com.cn, citing the National Bureau of Statistics.

For January and February, the CPI rose 2.1 percent from the same period in 2009.

The producer price index (PPI) in the first two months rose 4.9 percent year-on-year.

The PPI in February increased 5.4 percent from the same period a year ago and was up 1.1 percent from January.
